Neldam’s website will be under reconstruction for the next several months.

As Neldam’s moves into the future, we will be using this site to keep you up to date on all the latest news. Currently Neldam’s is working with the city of Oakland to extend our lease out thru April, as we move forward with our plans for a new bakery.

This means we will be open and have all the wonderful holiday goodies we all love. Come in and see us for the last Mother’s day and Easter at this store. This has been our home for 80 years, and all of us, including you have many memories (all good we hope) of the many times we have been part of your holiday traditions.

WHOA!!!!!! Did we say something about a new bakery?

We sure did. While we are sad that this is our last holiday at this location, we are planning to open a new baking facility some time early next year. While the location is not top secret, all the details have not been worked out yet, and we can not say for sure where it will be. What we do know for sure is that we are trying to be closer to you. As many of you have moved away from the Oakland area, we are going to be opening branches that will be much closer to your homes.

With the assistance of several cities including Oakland, Alameda, Emeryville, Pinole, and we hope soon Antioch, we will be opening a new, more modern, and greener bakery, along with 4 branches. We are trying to have all the locations open by mid summer 2010. The assistance these cities are offering is key to the future of Neldam’s bakery, and we hope you let them know that it is appreciated by you, our loyal customers. As our plans become more firm, we will up date this site with more specific details.

Please come visit us during the holidays as we say goodbye to our old home. During these tough economic times, it means a lot to all of us at Neldam’s to see all of your faces again at this time of year.
